FAQ

Why are some results unknown?

Some mail servers time out, block checks, or defer every request. When we can't get a reliable answer we say so instead of guessing — unknown results are never charged. Yahoo, AOL and Microsoft 365 domains do this often, so lists heavy in those addresses will show more unknown and catch_all results. Gmail answers honestly.

What is catch-all?

A catch-all domain accepts mail for any address, real or not. We detect this and mark those addresses catch_all rather than calling them valid, because the specific mailbox can't be confirmed.

Do you send email to my list?

No, never. We talk to the receiving mail server just far enough to learn whether the mailbox exists, then disconnect. No message is ever sent.

How long do you keep my file?

Uploaded files and the addresses in them are deleted 7 days after a job finishes. Your job history and billing records stay; the addresses go.

Do credits expire?

No. Buy once, use them whenever.

Can I get a refund?

We consider refunds for unused credits at our discretion — see the refund policy. Credits spent on completed verification aren't refundable, since the work was done.
